Competitiveness Evaluation of the Cohesion Regions in the Czech Republic

The Diploma thesis focuses on the explanation and clarification of the whole conception of competitiveness at all levels and the practical part then assesses the regional competitiveness at the level of cohesive regions NUTS II in the Czech Republic.
The objective of the Diploma thesis has been the detailed analysis of theoretical competitiveness base, the options in the approach to the assessment, and the defining of structural indicators. Consequently, there is the comparison of individual regions prepared on the basis of their scores achieved in the course of the monitored period 2001-2010.
The thesis has been divided into the three parts. The first part presents the theoretical competitiveness bases, a more detailed analysis of the regional competitiveness issue and the individual structural assessment indicators.
The second part of the Diploma thesis focuses on options in the assessment of the regional competitiveness within the situation existing in the Czech Republic and EU.
The third part presents the specific analysis and the assessment of the competitiveness rate assigned to the regions NUTS II in the Czech Republic.
