Abstract

The goal of this diploma thesis is to create intake systém for four stroke petrol engine from motorcycle Yamaha FZ6, used in race monoposts by Formula Student VSB - Technical University of Ostrava. It is neccesary to change construction of intake systém by locating air filter under main hoop instead of side location, which is actually used. All the changes must be in accordance with rules of FS competition. Requirement from FS team is to increase power in high revs spectrum, where the engine is run while racing. This requires creation of correlation model in Lotus Engine Simulation, optimization of intake systém parameters, creation of 3D design in Catia V5 and optimizing design based on airflow simulations created in ANSYS Fluent.
