Abstract

The Bachelor thesis is focused on the design of a welded children´s carousel. The introduction deals with basic types of contemporary carousels on children´s playgrounds. On the basis ot descriptions, I tried to design the welded children´s carousel with seats imitating cars. The carousel is design for six children from 3 to 12 years according to safety standards ČSN EN 1176 -1, 5/2009. Thrust ball bearing and two radial ball bearings enable the carousel to rotate. The main parts of the welded construction are analysed for stress. The proposed carousel is documented with the assembly drawing, parts list and two subassembly drawings of the welded frame of carousel.
