Abstract

The thesis deals with the design of the transportation system of foundry sand in three particular sections of the foundry. The thesis includes the background research of the current state of foundry sand transportation. The mechanical and physical properties of transported materials were measured for the proposal. For the first section the pressure pneumatic conveyance for the transportation of foundry sand was selected. For the second section the spiral conveyor for the transportation of foundry sand was selected. For the third section the pressure pneumatic conveyance was selected. In all three sections the design of selected conveyance systems supported by technology calculations was performed.
