Abstract

This thesis describes the design of the cutting device for isolation strips made of basalt. Cutting has in charge four or less smooth cut-odd discs. In the introduction there is the overwiew it the market with multi-discs machines. The calculation starts with designing the belt drive for the two ratios. After that there is solution for the tensioning belts. Next step is the calculation of the shaft. After that the work deals with the design solution of possibility to adjust the pitch between cutting discs and design the construction for using different diameter of discs. Finally there is the check of the most stressed welds. The work is supplemented with the assembly drawing of the mashine and manufacturing drawing of the shaft.
