Abstract

This Master thesis deals with design of the double disc refiner for pulp and paper refining. In the introduction, I deal with a paper manufacturing and paper stock refining theory. The next section is devoted to the design of individual refining machine types. Result of the Master thesis is the final draft of the concept and design of the 2DR5 machine unit.
