Abstract

The thesis focuses on the analysis of functions and technologies of advanced automotive assistance systems, which contribute to increasing the safety, comfort and efficiency of road traffic. Based on the research, key technologies and systems used in Volvo Cars vehicles are described. Subsequently, evaluation criteria for selecting a supplier of a specific element of the assistance system are defined and a multi-criteria analysis of potential suppliers is performed. All evaluation is carried out exclusively based on publicly available information, without the use of internal or non-public data. The output of the thesis is a proposal for a suitable supplier that meets the specified technical, operational and environmental requirements.
