Abstract
Presented thesis is concerned with problems of composting, specifically the biogas production. The theoretical part deals with three phases of composting, the phases are: the thermophilic phase, the mesophilic phase and the maturation curing phase. The practical part focuses on design of a heat exchanger, that is to be placed inside the compost, the heat exchanger than uses the heat created by decomposition of biomass to heat up the building.Pilot tests, such as chemical analysis of compost by the university laboratory that enabled creation of the program for the optimization of the compost batch, were used to solve this thesis. The thesis also deals with (practical) use of compost existing under real conditions in Náměšť nad Oslavou. Next, the volume of biogas created from the compost is calculated. In accordance with the assignment, the thesis also looks for a solution on how to increase the heat inside the compost, with help of appropriate technologies. The conclusion of thesis summarizes proposed solutions.
