Abstract
Work is a type of specific human activity. Work is a motivated activity. Sources of work stem from the internal motive of human motivation and external influences of the environment. Analysis of work motivation, examination of the use and evaluation of the effects of work incentives on motivation, and thus the performance of employees, is essential for any organization that strives to achieve prosperity and competitiveness. An important part of work motivation is the area of employee remuneration. Employee compensation is one of the most effective tools to motivate employees. Creating an effective, motivating, and fair remuneration system is a difficult challenge for the organization. The system must be acceptable to both employees and employers. The aim of the work is to analyse the system of motivation in the selected company. Emphasis is placed on the analysis of the current setting of the remuneration system, as an important part of influencing the work motivation of employees. Based on the evaluation of the current state of the motivation system, the aim is to suggest opportunities for improvement that can increase the level of employee motivation. The work consists of two main parts. The theoretical and methodological part presents the basic characteristics and definitions for the analysis of the system of motivation and rewards. The methodological part consists of the characteristics of the questioning method, the questionnaire by which the research is carried out. The second main part is the practical part, which consists of the characteristics of the company and the results of the questionnaire research are processed in it. It concludes with draft recommendations to improve the current situation. Based on the results of the survey, the proposal is to increase awareness, more effective setting and use of employee benefits through the cafeteria system, reassessing the elevation of wages and the amount of some monetary rewards, and the introduction of sick days or transport allowance. With the help of these proposals, the company can increase the satisfaction of its employees or attract new ones, influence the level of their motivation, and increase its prosperity and competitiveness.
