Abstract

This work deals with innovation of expert events web portal used at the Department of Control Systems and Instrumentation for organizing professional conferences and seminars.Actual version was mismatching current demands and needed functional editing and was composed of outdated technology ASP. New portal was created by PHP programming language, (x)HTML marking language, CSS language and XML technologies. The new web application has two parts. In user part of the application users can register, upload their contributions, reserve accommodation, write reviews of the contributions of other participants in the action, or to register for the excursion. Administration part serves for web content management, managing personal data of users, their contributions, reserved accommodation, excursions held during the event, etc. System will serve for organizing special events as conferences and seminars organized by Department of Control Systems and Instrumentation at VŠB Technical University in Ostrava.
