Experimentální analýza procesů vzniku patiny na povrchu kovových materiálů při různých podmínkách prostředí

Abstract

Bachelor’s thesis deals with the study of patina formation and corrosion products on the surface of copper, aluminum, and structural steel S235, including their experimental analysis. The theoretical part summarizes the basic knowledge of corrosion, patination, and the mechanisms of corrosion layer formation depending on environmental conditions. The theoretical part is followed by an experimental study in which the samples were exposed to five different environments (natural, acidic, oxidative, soil, and saline) for a period of 15 days. During the exposure, the development of surface changes was monitored, and after the exposure the samples were evaluated using gravimetric analysis, macroscopic and microscopic evaluation, and surface roughness measurement. The obtained results make it possible to compare the influence of individual environments on the rate and character of corrosion and patina formation in the investigated materials. The thesis provides both qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the observed changes and offers a comprehensive overview of the behavior of selected metallic materials under different corrosion conditions.
