Abstract
Thesis deals with the optimization of the production of a torispherical head for a pressure vessel. The existing production technology is described and then a new production process is proposed using a progressive tool. The design of the tool including the simulation of the drawing operation in Simufact Forming is addressed and then the new manufacturing process is evaluated.
