Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with meshing for finite element method and stiffness matrix generation. The series of tests in 1D, 2D and 3D tasks are performed to determine the compute complexity of standart and vectorized generating stiffness matrices. The first part is focused on a onedimensional task, where the mesh is created by simply dividing the interval into subintervals. The second part deals with a twodimensional problem where the mesh is created by the MESH2D package. In addition, the approximation set is extended by bubble functions. The last part is focused on a threedimensional task. Mesh is created by the ISO2MESH package and the approximation set is also enriched with bubble functions.
