Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with comparison of two design variants of the spiral casing of the fan grinding mill from the point of view of the state of stress and deformation. Computer modelling was used for solution. To be specific, it was the method of final elements with the use of sub-modelling principle. In the opening part of the thesis the creation of computation models is described. On the basis of analyses it was found out that both variants were almost the same in terms of shift. The difference lies in the distribution of reduced stress of HMH and in the occurrence of plastic deformations. What seems better concerning the comparison is the newly proposed design variant that considers the use of skid plates in the lower part of the casing.
