Abstract

The bachelor's thesis deals with the production process of pressure vessels used in the chemical and petrochemical industry. In the beginning of the thesis is the current state of production of pressure vessels and used welding methods, heat treatment and methods of welding joint inspections. In the next part of the thesis, a specific pressure vessel and its manufacturing is defined. The execution of welding work was in accordance with valid European and American regulations and standards. WPS and PQR/WPQR welding procedures for individual weld joints were determined based on the standards. The weld joints were subsequently subjected to destructive and non-destructive tests. At the end of the thesis, an overall evaluation of the test results and use of the pressure vessel in practice is carried out.
