Abstract
The bachelor thesis deals with using of progressive non-conventional technologies as a substitution for the current production of a standard component from
a production portfolio of company AŽD Praha Ltd. High-pressure abrasive water jet technology and laser technology were suggested as a solution to the production. The use of these technologies brings increased productivity, higher quality of machining, eco-friendly, and substitution of conventional methods of machining. In a theoretical part, the analysis of the current state is described including characteristics of selected technologies and their use in Mechanical Engineering. The current state of the production of standard components is described in a practical part of this thesis and new technology of production was proposed accordingly. In connection with selected technology and designed parameters, the evaluation of the achieved quality of produced components was realized, from the point of view a shape and dimensional accuracy, visual evaluation of surface and presence of defects, and the measurement of surface roughness. In the end of the bachelor thesis technical-economics evaluation was made and a recommendation of suitable technology for the production of these standard components in company AŽD Praha, Ltd.
