Abstract

Master thesis deals with the structural design of Formula Student Suspension arms. The first part deals with the analysis of the Formula Student competition, it’s rules and disciplines, the description of used axles and geometry of suspension and evaluation of usually used solution. The next part is devoted to the decision of appropriate design and selection of material for Suspension arms and selection of suitable ball joints and bearings. It contains design of suspension arms including their ends. Also contains complete front and rear suspension 3D models and their drawing documentation. The main aim of this work was to design suitable Suspension arms, which will be used for formula student car Vector 03, prototype for season 2017.
