Abstract

The main goal of this work is designing a fixation facility which could be used in operating rooms. This facility serves for calcaneus reposition in fractures. Based on the theoretical findings, there are various designs of the above mentioned product described with their advantages and disadvantages. The most convenient one, which would suit for the medical purposes, was anylysed in details. The strenght calculation of important contructional joints was performed using the method of ultimate elements. The function of this facility is based on the principle of screws drilled into the fragments of the bones. And thus, the distraction, compression and extention movement in between the screws is possible. The main advantage is a simple way of tightening. According to the physicians who participated on this project this product is applicable in operating rooms and so, the aim of this work was completed.
