Abstract
This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of tool balancing in direct connection with the installation of a new machining center and the Haimer TD Comfort balancing machine in the university workshops. The aim of the thesis is to theoretically describe the sources and consequences of unbalance that occurs during high-speed machining and micromachining. Another objective is to create a portfolio of tool holders suitable for the new university machine tool. The theoretical part defines the causes of unbalance and describes current standards and correction methods. The practical part focuses on designing a portfolio of tool holding systems using multi-criteria analysis and developing a balancing methodology. The results of the thesis serve as a practical basis for the safe and efficient utilization of the new machinery at the Department.
