Abstract
The bachelor thesis deals with the possibility of increasing the efficiency of the K3 boiler, which works with low efficiency due to the high temperature of the flue gases behind the boiler which causes a high chimney loss. During combusting the mixed gas, the temperature is above 200 ºC. The object of the invention is to add another EKO heat exchanger to the original EKO 1 heat exchanger part on the supply water side and to make a modification of the air heater in such a way that the heat energy in the flue gas is used to preheat the supply water and the combustion air, boiler K3. The newly added heat exchanger units in the flue gas duct must have a suitably designed area so that the flue gas temperature before the smoke fan does not exceed the dew point of the chemical compounds in the flue gas, which would cause chemical corrosion of the flue gas components, the smoke fan and the chimney.
