Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with active noise control. The effect of the noise canceling system is based on adaptive filters incorporated in headphones. One of these algorithms is of the LMS type. The principle is described and simulated in Matlab. Algorithm of the adaptive filter was experimentally verified with the use of the headphones from the Noise guard company. The effect of headphones Sennheiser PXC 450 on the noise level decrease is described in the laboratory section of the thesis. The measured data are evaluated in the form of the 1/3-octave spectra with the use of indoor software called a SignalAnalyser. An appendix contains instructions for laboratory exercises for students of the Department of Control Systems and instrumentation.
