Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the design of a jet device for exhausting non-condensating gases from the condenser area. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the work process of the jet devices together with their history and use. Further there is the work description of Clausius-Rankine cycle and methods that can improve the efficiency of a thermal cycle with increased attention especially focused on the optimization of the pressure in the condenser by using the jet device. In the second part of this thesis there is the design and calculation of a water ejector. In the following part there is a description of the connecting device to the secondary circuit of the nuclear power plant of Dukovany. The calculation and design of a pump was based on the scientific literature and valuable advice of Doosan Skoda Power s.r.o. experts.
