Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with a constructional design of a four-wheel mobile robot chassis. The chassis has specially aranged wheels which allow for the robot ride up the stairs. The introduction part of this thesis features the present methods of a solution to move mobile robots up the stairs. There are three possible variants of concrete chassis solution included in the design and also selection of an optimal option using value analysis. The dimensioning and check strenght calculations are performed in the MITCalc program and they are listed in the thesis Annexes. The entire chassis is placed into the 3D CAD design using PRO/Engineer Wildfire 4.0.
