Abstract

The subject of this thesis is a financial analysis of an air carrier. The thesis describes the air carrier, its categorization and the basic indicators that are significant for air carriers. The thesis describes the basic principle of financial analysis and explains selected analyzes that are used to evaluate the financial situation of the company. These analyses include horizontal and vertical analysis of balance sheet and profit and loss statement, analysis of financial ratios and du Pont pyramid decomposition. The work also includes calculation of bankruptcy and creditworthy models and evaluation of results of the financial analysis.
