Abstract
The master's thesis focuses on the design of a device for handling rail vehicles with a track gauge of 1435 mm and a maximum weight of 300 tons. The content of the thesis includes the design of a load-bearing frame, which must withstand operational loads, as well as the bumping and towing mechanism. Other aspects of the work involve mechanisms for efficient power transmission using a high-lift truck. Part of the design of these mechanisms also involved designing suitable shafts, including the design of drive cylinders along with the chassis of the entire equipment. An important part of this design is a device that prevents the high-lift truck from unintentionally leaving the equipment. Structural nodes were verified through strength analysis using the finite element method. The outcome of the thesis is drafting documentation along with parts lists based on the 3D model of the entire assembly.
