Abstract
The main goal of this work is to create a material model for 34MnB5 manganese steel.
The theoretical part of the thesis primarily describes manganese steels and the main alloying
elements , as well as the basic methods of production and processing. The following theoretical
sections are devoted to heat treatment, which is an essential part when processing manganese
steels , and characterization of basic mechanical testing . The experimental section then describes
the Gleeble device, which enabled was used to perform the pressure test s . These results were
then plotted into graphs, which were subsequently used to create and optimize the model for
this material (based on the real test results )). For a better understandi ng of the property
development, a brief microstructure analysis of the samples is also shown in the diploma thesis.
