Abstract

This master thesis deals with the subject of a bucket elevator forming a part of a pelletizing line. The introduction of the master thesis includes a very short description of biomass, and examples of pelletizing lines processing this biomass. In addition to this, the individual line equipment units are included and described there together with their basic parameters. For bucket elevator, its basic sectioning, and descriptions of individual elevator sections are stated. This is followed by a conveyor calculation, and by a design proposal for the drive and tensioning station. The next part comprises the necessary strength and verification calculations. The master thesis also includes a design layout drawing of the line, an assembly drawing of the bucket elevator itself, and assembly drawings of the elevator head and base portions.
