Kritéria pro výběr efektivní technologie pro energetické využívání směsných komunálních odpadů v podmínkách ČR

Abstract

This dissertation thesis deals with finding a solution for utilization of mixed municipal waste (MMW) in the framework of Czech waste management and Czech energy economy. Mixed municipal waste represents a commodity that raises many challenges and difficulties for Czech municipal waste management. Such challenges and difficulties originate mostly from the current unsustainable practice of storing the majority of MMW in landfills, which is unsustainable due to legislative obligation to EU and also because of unrecoverable losses of energetic value from this commodity. Number of studies and conceptual proposal dealing with this issue categorically pointed to an urgent need to resolve this issue in a thorough and comprehensive fashion that closely considers the present state and capabilities of Czech energetics. One of the incentives for this is that the composition and energetic value of mixed municipal waste makes it a valuable commodity that could play a substantial part in meeting the energetic demands of Czech Republic. Currently, there exist some technological concepts from EU and Czech Republic that can process and exploit the energetic value of MMK. Comparison of these studies, as well as finding the best solution from the technical, environmental and economical point of view is the primary goal of this dissertation work. The result of dissertation is determinig of the most convenient technology for energetic utilization of mixed municipal waste. This technology will be possible to use all over Czech Republic and it will enviromentally acceptable and economically sustainable. Consequently I proposed optimization model based on technological concept of direct energetic utilization. This model is able to simulate variably possible configuration of device for energetic utilization of mixed municipal waste in Czech Republic and generates outputs proving enviromental profits and economical sustainability.
