Abstract

SEMOTAMOVÁ, Andrea. Preparedness of Primary School Teachers in the Field of Civil Protection. [Bachelor thesis]. Ostrava: VŠB – Technical University Ostrava, Faculty of safety engineering, 2026. This bachelor’s thesis examines the preparedness of educational staff, specifically elementary school teachers, in the field of civil protection. The first part defines the integration of civil protection into elementary school education, into the framework educational programs for elementary education, and into school educational programs. Attention is also given to the training and education of elementary school teachers in this area. In the second part, the bachelor’s thesis is focused on the current state of this issue in the Kolín district, in the Central Bohemian Region. It provides an overview of educational events and practical exercises for teacher preparation, introduces the educational center in Kolín, and presents the results of a survey among elementary school teachers. The concluding section contains proposals for improving preparedness and the potential benefits of the bachelor’s thesis.
