As the topic of my thesis I chose - Structural design of the selected drive a road vehicle. In this work I deal with the design of an additional two-stage gear for Tatra Phoenix 8x8 In order to increase the transmission efficiency of the road. The work is divided into three parts. The first part introduces the reader with gears that may figure in the transmission and generally transfers. The second part deals with the driving characteristics of the vehicle, its resistances and calculating the ratio, which makes it possible to achieve our set speed on flat asphalt road, therefore max. . In the last section are calculated according to the ratio adapted according to the number of teeth and burdensome torques and forces are calculated strength of shafts and gears.
