Lenka Čepová, Ph.D. This master thesis provides an overview of the knowledge on the evaluation and measurement of circularity deviations. In the theoretical part, geometric deviations are described and the special focus is on the circularity deviation, the causes of their occurrence, the methods of measurement and evaluation, the measuring equipment, and then the methods of measuring roughness and its evaluation parameters are described. Finally, measurement errors are described. The whole experimental part was carried out in Kielce, Poland, at the local Kielce University of Technology, Politechnika Świętokrzyska. The experimental part is devoted to the measurement of the roundness deviation of a total of 40 bearing rings made of chromium steel for 100Cr6 rolling bearings machined by turning. The aim of this work is first to investigate whether the roughness measured on FORM TALYSURF has any dependence on the roundness. The second part is devoted to the inter-comparison of the circularity deviations measured on a conventional measuring machine Talyrond 73 which was taken as a reference gauge and the measured values of circularity and waviness were compared with the measurements on a coordinate measuring machine ZEISS PRISMO.
