Abstract

The thesis deals with the analysis of project management in a selected company, focusing mainly on the work of a team of mechanical designers. The company has development and production locations all over the world. The analysis concerns projects in a development location that deals with projects of innovative development and application projects based on customer requirements, market requirements, changes in materials, or production technologies. The development location works with, supports, and is part of a change management that affects customer or vendor documentation. The work responsibilities analyses individual types of projects and tasks during the project. An analysis of the individual tasks of mechanical designers is carried out based on the identified problems. Proposals for improvement have been prepared in some areas, which should lead to an improvement in the product development process in terms of the involvement of this group of workers.
