Abstract

Thesis deals with the methodology of creating a design of wedge gate valve. The introduction describes general classification of valves. Based on the original design of gate valve a new one was designed, which had key components and joints modified. Calculations verified the correctness of proposed characteristics. It is planned to include this design in the company’s production portfolio in the future. The created design is documented in the annex of this bachelor’s thesis.
