Abstract
This thesis describes the design of an elevator in an existing building. The lift design consists of designing its shaft construction, method of lift drive and its location, which is related to the location of the cage and counterweight guide rails. Depending on the position of the guide rails, cage and counterweight are designed. All proposed components are subjected to stress analysis to ensure their safety. Finally, data are obtained from the proposal to create a calculation report for the approval of operation status of the elevator.
