Abstract

My thesis deals with the issue of crisis management, risk management and its application to an enterprise. The practical part describes the creation of a crisis team, which took part in all activities connected with risk management. The structure of risk management contains 3 phases: potential risks brainstorming, risk evaluation and assessment and risk management. In the first phase, brainstorming process yielded a list of 37 risks. With some of these risks the enterprise is faced currently, others were identified as potential ones that might negatively influence smooth functioning of the enterprise in the future. Particular risks were assigned to 3 categories: critical, important and routine. In the second phase, risks were evaluated and assessed based on a point system consisting of the criteria of risk occurrence probability and evaluation of the extent and intensity of the negative impact in case of risk occurrence. In the third phase of the process, individual approaches to particular risks were sought, aiming at finding efficient risk management and minimization solutions. Recommendations based on outputs of my analysis were handed over to the management of the company. The aim of my work was to identify risks, which the enterprise Rabator Ltd. is currently faced with. Additionally, I made an effort to identify potential future threats to the company, including the assessment of potential negative impact of the risks on the company.
