Abstract

Master thesis is dealing with testing equipment for determination of wood cutting forces. In introduction is an overview of splitting machine. There are described many different types of constructions, accessories and possibilities of using these machines. The practical part is dealing with the design of a given splitting machines. There is a calculation and design of linear hydraulic motor, hydraulic power unit, frame and design of splitting wedge. Finally is there a methodology for measuring cutting forces.
