Abstract
This master thesis examines the manufacturing process of a selected component using additive technology Directed Energy Deposition (DED). The work is divided into a theoretical part, which describes the principles and its applications. The following section describes the materials used: tool steel H11 and mild steel ER70-S.
The practical section of the thesis analyses the original manufacturing process for the component. The selection component of the and the project specifications were defined in collaboration with ACO Industries k.s. Subsequently, an analysis and design of new manufacturing process using DED additive manufacturing technology are presented. A significant experimental contribution is the successful design and printing of a bimetallic component, which combines H11 tool steel with ER70-S mild steel. The final section presents a technical and economic evaluation of the processes used.
