Abstract

The availability of robotics to the general public has improved thanks to technological advances. One example might be LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT robots from Lego, which, thanks to its simplicity and user friendliness enjoys great popularity. Robots Soccer is a complex task involving different disciplines from the image processing through the creation of tactics and game strategies to creating and maintaining communication between the robot and the control system. The aim of this thesis is to analyze, design and implement the selected parts of the Robots Soccer game for LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT robots. Specifically, to get acquainted with previous work on the LEGO robots football and analyze possible solutions. In addition to design and implement the construction of robots and panels for their identification. Finally, design and implement a module for communication between the robot and the control system using Bluetooth technology and module for image processing aimed to the player and ball identification and localization.
