Abstract
This work should inform reader with the issue of eliminating heavy metals from solutions by using biosorption. It describes biosorption, metals sorption mechanisms, types, biosorption kinetics and factors that affect the entire process. The next chapter is characterized by food yeast and its possible use as suitable biosorbents for heavy metals contained in the solution. Sequentially are here introduced important heavy metals, which by quality negatively take effect on enviroment and people's health.
