Abstract
HETO, J. Optimization Surface Attrition Galvanic Zinc Coatings. Ostrava: Department of Mechanical Technology, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering VSB-Technical University Of Ostrava, 2009, 50 p. Thesis, head: Kristofory, F.
Thesis is dealing with influence of the subsequent finishing of the electrodeposited zinc coatings on their wear resistance and with influence of the wearing on the corrosion resistance of the damaged spots. Attrition was simulated by the “Kulotester” apparatus using the technique of rolling the ball on the coating. Corrosion resistance was tested in artificial atmospheres - salt spray tests. Zinc coating systems with both thin-layer and thick-layer passivation sealed with organic coating were tested and evaluated. In cases where a combination of mechanical wear and corrosion is to be expected the thin-layer passivation coating system proved to be more adequate from the two systems tested. The results of the tests were used for the method suggestion of the evaluation of the wear resistance of the selected coatings by “Kulotester” apparatus.
