Abstract
This thesis explores systems for the automatic detection of license plates. The theoretical part discusses potential issues that may arise during the detection process. Subsequently, the most commonly used methods for detection itself are described. In the practical part, two different existing methods for detection are utilized, including an evaluation of results and a subsequent comparison of accuracies.
