Abstract

The aim of this work is to create a terrain editor based on the XNA framework. The paper presents some problems related to the issue of large terrains and their editing. The first part is focused on an overview of existing solutions and their comparison. The main part describes the design of a new editor and a key parts of its implementation. Created editor is subjected to a series of performance tests and a demonstration scene is designed in it.
