Abstract
The bachelor's thesis deals with the design of a seat and supporting structure for a tram car. In the introduction, the theoretical part is elaborated, which deals with the history of seats continuing to the current state, ergonomic parameters of seats and types of attachment of the supporting structure with a tram car. The next chapter lists the requirements for the load-bearing structure and the design itself. For the proposed construction, the attachment to the sidewall is solved here. The requirements and the seat design itself follow. After the design of the seat, the attachment of
the seat with the supporting structure is described. In the computational part, the analysis is performed using the finite element method, where the maximum stresses and deformations are then given. Stress and deformation at critical points of the structure and seat are also shown. In other calculations, I check the steel support on the strut. Before checking against the strut, I calculate the force acting on the support. I present here the shear forces and bending moments in the load-bearing profiles. In the final calculations, I determine the deflection of the load-bearing
structure at a critical point with increased load.
