Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the design of a drive unit for a conveyor belt. The aim of the thesis is to analyze and propose an optimal drive solution with regard to operating conditions and service life. The work includes a theoretical analysis of the basic principles of belt conveying, calculation of the main parameters of the drive unit, and the selection of a suitable electric motor, gearbox, and other components. Furthermore, it addresses the issue of power transmission, dimensioning of key components, and the structural design of the drive unit. The thesis also includes technical documentation.
