Abstract

Thesis includes the analyze of labour market flexibility in light of using part time work. The main aim is evaluation of situation in part time work according different aspects and finding the effect on unemployment in European Union coutries.

The theoretical part is mainly focused on defining the various forms of flexible working with more detailed description of part time work. This part also contents characteristic of labour market flexibility, typologies, determinants of labour market flexibility and defining the concept of flexicurity. The practical part includes concrete analysis of part time employment in the Czech labour market and European labour markets from different perspectives. Across correlation analysis was evaluated the effect of part time rate on unemployment rate in all countries of EU27. In conclusion, there are identified problems of part time work with suggestions and recommendations.
