Abstract

ČECH, R. Modelling Two-seat Connection to the Frame Rail Wagon in Terms of Resistance at Impact Test – diploma thesis. OSTRAVA: VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Department od Mechanics, 74 p. Thesis head: HORYL, P. Objective of this thesis is to perform strength calculation of two-seat connection to the frame rail wagon in terms of resistance at impact test for two different design options and to compare them. Results are to be corellated with experimental testing on impact device. Next part is to suggest third, if possible better, design option of two-seat connection and prove it by strength calculation. As part of this thesis simulation of strength test of spot weld used for some structural connections used by company BORCAD cz s.r.o. for construction of their seats is performed and compared to experimental data. Task is solved using explicit method implemented in chosen commercial finite-element software.
