Abstract

The bachelor's thesis deals with the design of a mechanically sliding railing. It is a device that must meet the applicable standards and perform the function of a handrail in the extended position, and must also be completely stored in the retracted position. The work contains a brief summary of relevant devices on the market, based on which the design of the structure is made. The railing construction is divided into identical blocks. Subsequently, there is a description of one railing block and its control. The work also includes a report with relevant calculations. Drawing documentation of the final design is an appendix to the bachelor's thesis.
