Abstract

This bachelor thesis covers the corrosion issue in aviation. In particular, it stresses corrosion removal and protection. In the first chapter, there is a depiction of corrosion theory, from its types up to the environment which affects it. The next two chapters are more practical and deal with prone areas, corrosion removal and prevention. Chapter four shows an analysis of corrosion occurrence on a number of aircraft. The next chapter explains maintenance procedures after corrosion detection and the last part presents a proposal for increasing the effectiveness of anti-corrosion treatment within a concrete company.
