Abstract
The bachelor thesis deals with the current state of mobile robots designed for application in
logistics centres and for in-house logistics. In the introduction of the thesis is explained what logistics
centres are used for and why robots are increasingly being deployed in them. This is followed by a
description of the activities of logistics centres and in-house logistics and a general overview of
robots used in logistics. Furthermore, a categorisation of mobile robots used in these areas is made
on the basis of research. The output is an Excelspreadsheet that contains an overview of the tracked
types with their parameters and an overview of the companies providing these types. This is
followed by a description of the typical internal structure and external subsystems of a mobile robot.
The last chapter is devoted to trends in the deployment of mobile robots in logistics. The thesis
concludes with a summary of findings from the current market offering mobile robots for logistics.
