Abstract

This master thesis deals with topology optimization of jaw of spring-loaded camming device Permon biaxial 6, made by Petr Kouba company. At the beginning of thesis research study of issue of active camming devices is performer. Methods of topology optimization is also studied. The obtained information is applied to create a parametric computer model using finite element method using software MATLAB. Shape of jaw is optimized with respect to its rigidity and weight by original algorithms. The dicrete shape of jaw is smoothed using parametric curves which are salso described in this thesis. The final technical solution of the jaw is analyzed by finite element solver ANSYS Workbench. The thesis was commissioned on the basis of requirements from industrial practice by Petr Kouba and its results will be used in the production of active mechanical camming devices.
